A ghastly reimagining of classic haunted house stories, Craven Manor is: Perfect for fans of Paul Tremblay and Amy Cross For lovers of horror and ghost stories Daniel is desperate for a fresh start. So when a mysterious figure slides a note under his door offering the position of groundskeeper at an ancient estate, he leaps at the chance, even though it seems too good to be true. Alarm bells start ringing when he arrives at Craven Manor. The abandoned mansion is straight out of those old gothic mysteries: the front door hangs open, and leaves and cobwebs coat the marble foyer. It's clear no one has lived here in a long time... but he has nowhere else to go. Against his better judgment, he moves into the groundskeeper's cottage tucked away behind the old family crypt. But when a candle flickers to life in the abandoned tower window, Daniel realizes he isn't alone after all. Something awful happened here long ago, and it's a paranormal mystery Daniel is afraid to solve. Because Craven Manor is hiding a terrible secret... One that threatens to bury him with it. "There were many things that I liked about this book. The mystery, the house, the family, Analiese, the magic and ghosts… I HATED Kyle and some of Daniel’s stupid decisions. Kyle and the loathing I felt for him and his effect on the story are most of reason why I had to frequently pause this book and will most likely never reread it. I would have been happy if Kyle died falling out the window. I went back and forth between three and four stars numerous times. I would have marked it 3.5 if I could. The parts I did like had me round up. Interesting story… read with caution if characters make your blood pressure rise like Kyle did mine."
"Another winner from this author!!!! "

"I love a good ghost story! I found this very enjoyable, mostly because it has all my favorite things in a horror novel: a haunted house, a tragic backstory, and a vicious creature hell-bent on destruction. What’s not to love? Especially as we head into the season of holiday love stories, I figured I might as well dive into one more terrifying story before the switch!"

"This book kept you on your toes and made you picture a haunting movie in your head with how detailed the writing is. Only thing I didn't like was how demonic things seemed to turn. "
