You remember Hannibal Lecter: gentleman, genius, cannibal. Seven years have passed since Dr. Lecter escaped from custody. And for seven years he's been at large, free to savor the scents, the essences, of an unguarded world. But intruders have entered Dr. Lecter's world, piercing his new identity, sensing the evil that surrounds him. For the multimillionaire Hannibal left maimed, for a corrupt Italian policeman, and for FBI agent Clarice Starling, who once stood before Lecter and who has never been the same, the final hunt for Hannibal Lecter has begun. All of them, in their separate ways, want to find Dr. Lecter. And all three will get their wish. But only one will live long enough to savor the reward....From the Paperback edition.

"What an epic conclusion to the Hannibal series!!! It was a long and perilous journey! I had such a fun time reading this novel! It was insane to finally read the book after seeing the film multiple times, and discover how much detail was left out of the film! Hannibal as a whole is such a mesmerizing character as a whole, because he is one of a kind in a league of his own! In my opinion, in terms of horror and psychological thriller characters, Hannibal stands out and outshines other literary characters. Hannibal is such a well developed and deeply constructed character, so it was so fascinating to read more about him and enter his mind more deeply than the previous books in the series. If you want to read a dark horror thriller book, this is most definitely a perfect book for you to read! It has it all!!! "
"Seems as though many people disliked this book most out of the series. I could change my mind later on but as of now I am fueled by my intrigue of these charaters. Finally we have some background into Lectors life. It took two and a half books but we made it. Though now that I think of it we should have gotten a small insight throughout the series.

Still, driven by Anthony Hopkins and my weird obsession with serial killers I quite enjoyed these books. Just the way Hannibal manipulates all those around him, I honestly can't get enough. Not once did I fear for his life. Because though intelligent and elegant he may be, in an instant he can turn into a wild animal and end everything you have built for yourself.

It's hard to explain. Like an upright walking panther in smart clothes. You invite him in and forget what his is at your own peril. But that ending. I did not see it coming."
"This over-long, salacious, Bond-esque dumpster fire torched my favorite series. It turned Starling from heroine to an easily manipulated, psychotic drip. Worst read ever. If, as I've heard, the film was going to produced whether or not Harris wrote this installment, he would've been better off washing his hands of it. This is the worst."
"Possibly my favorite book. The ladder portion of this book had chills running down my spine and looking over my shoulder. "
