First book finished for 2024!! Yay lol!! This year I'm doing a TBR jar and this book was not in it, I knew I'll be reading it this month. Anyways, this book took me a whole week to finish 1) because these chapters were really long, 2) at some moments it was boring and tough to get through and 3) I legit didn't feel like reading it anymore lol. I did end up liking it though. There were a lot of timed where I was getting annoyed with the characters and their thought processes, it just didn't seem interesting to me. Tedros acted like a huge crying baby, he was super annoying, same with Sophie who was a major hypocrite throughout the whole book(but I never liked her to begin with). I didn't think this series needed to add in another character(Nicola), it seemed unnecessary especially because there's only going to be 2 more books after this sooo. And she was bothering me so much! She kept acting like she knew every single thing! And the fact that she was all like "Well I'm a reader so I obviously know what to do in this situation..." GIRL EVERYONE WITH YOU WAS A READER ALSO!!!! Also, who the heck does she think she is talking to merlin about the new kids, and expect him to do her a favor! The plot twists though were good. It kept me guessing except for lady gremlaine having a child and hiding him. That seemed pretty obvious. I was seriously happy when lancelot died, he was not a good character along with Guinevere, she could've died too and I would've been ecstatic! She was keeping way too many secrets and not really caring for her son. I didn't like how when someone was going to say something important, the get cutoff, like seriously stop doing that! There was a lot of shady stuff but overall this book was good, I do have more to say but I'm a bit too tired to say it all lol. "
