"My first Sally Rooney. Picked it up not knowing what to expect but I was intrigued by the mixed reviews. I read the first 100 pages and I needed a break. It sat on my side table another week. I found myself reading through other books and honestly this book didn't even interest me. Soo determined to get through I finally picked it up again, had an extra large coffee while the rain outside pinging off the roof. An hour later and only another 20 pages In, I realized I had made lunch, done the dishes, folded laundry and still got nowhere with this book. Geeeez. OK so I picked it up read ahead another 20 pages, then skipped ahead another 10...nothing has happened! <br/>Loooong very long story short, it did nothing for me. (Chapter 26) and yes, I even read the last chapter bc I was still in denial that this couldn't possibly be just a story without any juice. It was flat in my opinion, so did I read it? I guess not. I honestly don't care to vest anymore time. Moving on."
