A USA TODAY BESTSELLER!A September Indie Next PickOne of Amazon's Best Romances of SeptemberOne of Apple's Best Books of SeptemberTrue love is at stake in this charming, debut romantic comedy. Cassie Greenberg loves being an artist, but it’s a tough way to make a living. On the brink of eviction, she’s desperate when she finds a too-good-to-be-true apartment in a beautiful Chicago neighborhood. Cassie knows there has to be a catch—only someone with a secret to hide would rent out a room for that price. Of course, her new roommate Frederick J. Fitzwilliam is far from normal. He sleeps all day, is out at night on business, and talks like he walked out of a regency romance novel. He also leaves Cassie heart-melting notes around the apartment, cares about her art, and asks about her day. And he doesn’t look half bad shirtless, on the rare occasions they’re both home and awake. But when Cassie finds bags of blood in the fridge that definitely weren’t there earlier, Frederick has to come clean... Cassie’s sexy new roommate is a vampire. And he has a proposition for her.

"SPOILERS
A very light read. I didn't expect how cliché the vampire would turn out to be. I liked how unseriously everything was taken but the gay best friend acts very "there" if you get what I mean and it feels like his husband is literally only there as a scapegoat or side thing for whenever a comedic break is introduced. The main female character honestly acts very naive. With he amount of vampire clichés a five year old could tell hes a vampire and yet he has to outright tell her. She didnt even have any sort of suspicions whatsoever and it honestly irked me. I feel like as if the power imbalance between them is balanced because if she decides not to help him anymore he will quite literally, be helpless. So the age and amount of money he has is a bit evened out. Otherwise its a very light read and if you dont take it to seriously, fun."
"3.5 stars - This rom-com is definitely a bit “kooky” as the author herself called it. I enjoyed myself but definitely picked up on a bit of goofiness. Nothing too deep is explored, so My Roommate Is a Vampire is more lighthearted and something you read when you’re looking for a bit of fun. The plot is very low stacks and reminds me of some cozy fantasy books.

I think one of my favorite aspects of this book is how easily Cassie accepts Frederick’s vampirism.

The characters are relatively well developed, and there’s lots of humor through the notes Cassie and Frederick leave for each other and the text messages between Frederick and his vampire friend Reginald.

My Roommate Is a Vampire is such a quick read and will leave a smile on your face.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review."

"The book is definitely a good book for a quick romcom book with little to no angst. The part that lacked for me was when I got to close to the ending, the book started falling flat. I was thrown off with the TikTok and growling😭. The plot felt forced, honestly the plot of a forced marriage could’ve not been in there. It felt out of place. The characters were likable and funny. I loved the dialogue and romance between the two🩷. The chapters are long but I definitely recommend to still read."
"3.5 stars, such a cute book. I read it when I needed a break from acosf; so it’s a nice palette cleanser. The main female character is down on her luck and needs a place to live; when she comes across an add for a cheap roommate. She takes the room and tries to figure out what her roomie is all about. Cute banter, laughs, and even a little mystery. "
