"3.5 stars ✨ <br/><br/>Good addition to the series, although not my favourite of the series so far (“Devil in Spring”, with Cassandra’s twin sister Pandora and Gabriel is my personal fav). My main issue with this book and why I couldn’t give it higher than a 3.5 is because it never felt like Tom got over his issues with his family. If they were going to bring up his issues with his mom and his sisters, there should have been some attempt at resolution, not “I guess it sucks but I don’t need them anyways” type of thing. Also, the bit with Lord Lambert and his father being really awful and sticky with Cassandra by trying to ruin her reputation and then leaving the scene, never to be seen again, was an anti-climatic resolution as well."
