Topic: The Abominable
What did people think of Dan Simmons Abominable? I’ve been craving a hair raising arctic horror. A lot of the horror I’ve read recently has really let me down with shying away from actually committing to the horror aspect or taking a safe route. I don’t want to be let down again, especially since it’s a longer book. I did enjoy his book, The Terror.

Topic: Iron Flame
Sorry if this is a bit of a rant. I'm about 200 pages into Iron Flame and am so bored with it. Most of the challenges and conflicts the cadets have to go through seem so pointless. Also, I think I'm not a huge fan of the world and Violet is low key annoying, I wish she didn't care so much about the whole keeping secrets thing because THIS IS WAR AND THERES GOING TO BE SECRETS. People who loved this series: give me some inspo to keep reading bc I really would like to finish the series

Topic: Binding 13
I just finished Binding & Keeping 13 and I enjoyed them, but I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about the rest of the series. Is it worth continuing? #romance #binding13 #chloewalsh
How do you pick your next read? It’s so hard for me and please don’t just say it depends on your mood I mean something like pick a number or yk
Not looking for book recs; just a question. Why are young teenagers even allowed to get Colleen Hoover books? They are not at all for that demographic, and I don't think it's healthy to read them so young.

Topic: The Warbler
Has anyone heard of this book? I just got it from my library, it’s by the same author as The Spellshop, and reminds me of “Addie LaRue” and the “Inheritance of Orqidea Divina” (sorry about spelling). It’s magic realism, with small towns, mysterious curses, and cute characters.

In your opinion, assuming there is no emergency pushing us onward, are cryoships/generation ships a viable option for reaching other habitable star systems and planets?

Hey y’all!! What are your favourite fantasy reads? Just getting into the genre:)
I made a discussion for movies. In any kind of fiction that ISN'T romance or any romance sub-genre. What do you think/how do you feel about sex scenes/spice? Does it enhance the story? Is it unnecessary? Is there a level of spice that is acceptable? Is there a point of "too much detail"? Want more of it? Hate it altogether? Any thoughts or opinions about it at all. Feel free to post examples of it being done well or done badly.
What book do you think is criminally underrated?
Plot-driven mystery set in a bustling city, with strong characters. No vacations, no small towns, etc
are there any good books with autoimmune disease representation or something similar? I like clean/closed door romance as well as literary fiction but I’m open to other genres if anyone has good recommendations!

I need a M/M romance read. Im talking like young characters, fantasy fiction, no weird age gaps/problematic things and no getting together/kissing till the end of the book. Prefer to avoid spicy stuff and I would like it to be in third person. Thanks!
